Ersoy Tuncay holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
from Bosphorus University at Istanbul, Turkey.
He began his career in 1996 as a Sales Engineer in Aksa Jeneratör during
his senior year at University.
Following his graduation in 1996, he began
working for a valve production company,
Valf Sanayi A.S. / Elginkan HOLDING, located in Manisa as a Design and Project
Engineer. He was responsible for
managing research, design, developing
prototypes, tooling design, first article acceptance and staff training.
During his time wıth the company, he designed a patented product, a
Thermostatic Radiator Valve, by using a 3-Dimensional CAD program.
In July 1998,
Ersoy Tuncay started to work for Kerim Çelik/ Borusan HOLDING as a Production
Manager. Following the restructuring of the company by the end of 1999, a new
company , MPS, METAL PLASTIK SANAYII A.S., was formed as a result, with the
support of Borusan Holding.
Ersoy Tuncay was appointed Project Manager for the entire operation,
from managing construction of the new
factory building for MPS to overseeing
relations with the builder,
transportation of the line from Kerim Çelik to MPS, installation and
start-up of all equipments as part of the new plant. Once MPS set up was finalized, he continued to work for the
company under Senior Production Manager
from 2000 to 2010 and following that
position , as Projects and Investment Manager from 2010 to 2011.
Ersoy Tuncay is bilingual and speaks Turkish
(native) and English (advanced)
His main hobbies include playing football and chess.
